i went shopping with mom today, bringing home $49.9 Herseys pure unsweetened cocoa for my later on oatmeal breakfast~!


  • 2/3 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1-2/3 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup HERSHEY’S Cocoa
  • 1-1/4 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1-1/3 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons creme de cacao (chocolate-flavored liqueur)(optional)
  • CREME DE CACAO FILLING (recipe follows)
  • CHOCOLATE GANACHE GLAZE (recipe follows)


  1. 1 Heat oven to 350°F. Grease and flour two 9-inch round baking pans.
  2. 2 Beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla in large bowl until blended. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and baking powder; add to butter mixture alternately with milk, blending just until combined. Pour batter into prepared pans.
  3. 3 Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 10 minutes; remove from pans to wire racks. Sprinkle each layer with 1 tablespoon creme de cacao; cool completely.
  4. 4 Meanwhile, prepare CREME DE CACAO FILLING. Split each cake layer horizontally into 2 layers. Place one layer on serving plate; spread with one-third of FILLING. Repeat layering with remaining cake and FILLING, ending with cake layer. Cover tightly; refrigerate at least 8 hours.
  5. 5 Prepare CHOCOLATE GANACHE GLAZE; spoon on top of chilled cake, allowing glaze to drizzle down side of cake. Refrigerate. 10 to 12 servings.

    CREME DE CACAO FILLING: Beat 1 cup (1/2 pt.) cold whipping cream, 2 tablespoons creme de cacao (optional) and 1 tablespoon HERSHEY’S Cocoa in small bowl until stiff. Cover; refrigerate. About 2 cups.

    1 HERSHEY’S SPECIAL DARK Chocolate Bar (7 oz.), broken
    into pieces
    1/4 cup whipping cream
    1 tablespoon butter
    1-1/2 teaspoons creme de cacao (chocolate-flavored liqueur) or

    Combine chocolate bar pieces, whipping cream and butter in medium saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth. Stir in creme de cacao. Cool to lukewarm (glaze will be slightly thickened). About 1 cup.

Cooking Method:
1. wash clean the chicken,put it in the bowl,soak for 20 minutes,
2. slice the mushroom,cut the onion leaves,the sliced ginger put on top,
3. boil the water in the wok,after boiled put the chicken inside,steam for 20 mins

i yelled “good bye!!”to two people today, and chatted with crystal tsang in the train, helped hilton woo to check her dictation, and talked to tinnie chan for sharing about my english SBA work preparation.

workout: none, AGAIN. so busy with my school work…

food: no appetite at all, so i ate all things i like in a large proportion to ensure enough calories intake, but discovering my skin turned yellow because of the HUGE amount of fruits intake.

I had chestnut pack for breakfast on bus and large orange for lunch in school.

no workout today cuz my energy level was extremely low today…

i went to supermarket after school, and bought a total of $55 for a HUGE box of HUGE strawberries and a small box of raspberries.

Raspberries are a rich source of vitamin C, with 30 mg per serving of 1 cup (about 50% daily value) and dietary fiber (30% daily value).

Raspberries rank near the top of all fruits for antioxidant strength.

twinkle lok in my class said that i became thinner than last month, while my physics teacher has just told me that he’s glad to see me fatter now…huh? so what? am i thinner or fatter?

i ate all that 500g with twenty pieces of HUGE strawberries right after returning home before 6:45p.m., haha HIGH speed right?

workout: walk to shopping mall from home ( around half an hour only…)

life: finished my english SBA presentation preparation

food: double both cinnamon apple slices and very large oranges, but not feeling bad, i’ve stopped restricting calories today, which made me feel so good.

too too too sweet soymilk foamed hot chocolate at starbucks which cost me $24, but at least i spent several hours there revising my biology test.

free sample of japanese carrot juice, so fresh and sweet!!

warm and nutty wonderful chickpeas after reading lots of books about technique on brewing coffee at home.

Workout today:

‎2 mins run, 35 mins walk, plus 20 mins TAI CHI…yeah yeah yeah…first day workout was great and I sweat a lot…

Food today:


one large apple and two very large oranges in ONE day!!! fruits too much today, and i felt like kind of uncomfortable obsession on fruits, because of the fear on other sugary food…

Life today:

two aunties and two similar-aged-with-me friends came to have dinner at seven p.m. and we chat on hot to make friends with others until eleven thirty at night!! dinner was nice with deep fried chicken wings, chickpeas, fried broccoli, onion pork stew, bell pepper shrimps and melon soup, extra chickpeas for me as carb, and others had rice.

Recipe today:

1. cashew cream sauce:

i just simply blend roasted cashew with water and stored in bottle to be used later for noodles

2. spicy hummus:

again, using the blender, i mash the chickpeas and added loads of cinnamon, paprika, black pepper and a whole raw garlic…it turns out making my mouth SUPER smelly!!!

Things learnt today:

I actually cried this afternoon because of the loneliness. I felt that the ED monster came again and I was so scared. But after meeting my friends, they taught me that the kind of food choices should not be taken just for the future health, but also very importantly now i to enjoy eating it. Umm…that means don’t eat something called healthy but you actually hated the taste, for me that’s packed chestnuts. They can make me feel very full but actually I think they are not tasty at all. and for another example i love eating bread but i am more scared of to count its calorie so i avoid eating them. i really miss bread so much.

Hope I can really change to a new me soon~!

Today I got on to http://www.calorieking.com and they claimed that: “We recommend a daily intake of 1350 calories to maintain your weight.” Huh?! I actually didn’t believe them, how can I eat so little?

By the way, I planned to lunch at COOK LIGHT CAFÉ tomorrow before visit my doctor and I will make coconut butter and chocolate larabars when returns home!!
